Picture no 1 is that this round staircase in a home in Dorset

Round stair by Rick McEvoy Photography for Etchingham Morris Architecture Limited, Ringwood, Hampshire

Why do I like this picture? As a result of it’s something totally different. You don’t typically get circular stairs on houses, definitely not in England.

And these stairs
have been constructed on this aspect of the house as part of a remodelling exercise.

The other
cause I like this photograph is because I keep in mind squeezing myself proper again
towards the wall, focussing a third into the scene (first window on the left)
and then pressing the shutter and hoping.

I wanted
about 10 goes to get this image as I couldn’t truly see the LCD display or
fit my head between the wall and my digital camera.

I did attempt
capturing utilizing my iPhone as a remote release, however I could not handle this as I
was on the prime of the stairs!

This image
was processed in Lightroom with a small quantity of cleansing up in Photoshop.

That’s the reason
this photograph means one thing to me – it was probably the most troublesome seize I have
completed in an extended previous time!

I really like the stunning wealthy colours on this photograph taken in a basic English country residence. All the rooms have been distinctive and packed full of conventional features, however for some cause this room was my favorite. It could be that it was the last room, and I solely simply managed to get this image as time with my shopper was operating out.

I had no
time to organize for this shot – it was a case of arrange my digital camera on my tripod,
compose, focus, take the shot and I was out of there!

Would I
have gotten a better shot with more time? In all probability not!

This picture
was processed in Lightroom.

After which I turned right and saw this constructing. I had no concept what it was
at the time, however I pulled into the automotive park and acquired my digital camera out. This was too
good a chance to miss.

I walked across the constructing having fun with the surprisingly quiet setting,
and arrange my digital camera for this shot, taken proper subsequent to at least one of the entrances.

The stunning colors made the scene for me – a stunning blue sky, white
fluffy clouds and all that pretty vibrant inexperienced from the grass.

And this is the reason I all the time have my digital camera with me the place I’m going – you just don’t
know what you may come across.

This was a bracketed set of three photographs which I processed utilizing Aurora

I really like sunrise. It is my favorite time of the day. I really like being someplace which is generally full of individuals all by myself, and watching a brand new day unfold.

The day earlier than this pool space was packed full of comfortable holidaymakers, however at 5am there was no one to be seen – simply me.

And I have to be trustworthy with you right here I used to be a bit chilly. I had misjudged
the temperatures in this part of Spain before sunrise in April. Having discovered
from the earlier morning I wore three t-shirts to assist maintain me warm, and my previous
trustworthy purple hat. It was enough for me to enjoy the dawn.

This was lengthy publicity stuff, four, 1 and 15 seconds have been the three shutter
speeds used to take a bracketed set of photographs. The three pictures have been processed

I didn’t know this individual was here, I had been up on the top of the hill
photographing sunrise little question chuntering away and talking to myself. I was
about to climb back right down to the automotive once I saw this individual sat on prime of the rocks
– I took a fast photograph and was off.

Fortunately I had the notice to vary the aperture to F22 to get that starburst impact on the solar.

Now I know some individuals assume that this can be a cliché however that was what the
sun seemed wish to me – an enormous shiny shiny factor in the sky.

Each morning I walked past this scene. The primary time I tried to photograph the lights on the boats the issue I had was that the boats have been bobbing too much, making the picture much too blurry. Finally, I received a very calm morning with little or no motion of the ocean – sufficient for me to get this picture with a four second exposure.

This can be a single picture seize processed in Lightroom solely – and to be
trustworthy I did very little to this image in phrases of processing.

I planned this shot the day earlier than. I went to Loggos within the rent automotive and walked round with the app that I exploit referred to as The Photographers Ephemeris. This app on my iPhone exhibits me the place the solar rises and units, and with it I used to be capable of work out the place I wanted to be, and at what time, to get the shot I needed.

And that is picture number one on my website Paxos Journey Information.

And that is it!

The clouds have been a bonus which I had not been blessed with on the opposite mornings
I was out and about taking sunrise photographs.

Anemogiannis Monument Gaios PaxosAnemogiannis Monument Gaios Paxos

Taken
capturing straight into the sun, one thing to be finished with care I’ve to say.

I was
photographing the dawn from the hills overlooking Gaios, the capital of
Paxos. Having achieved that, I went down into the city, parked up and walked alongside
the front. I knew about this monument (good native information), so headed over
there to get this shot.

What I
could not plan for was the couple sat at the foot of the monument, and the
people who stored on appearing next to the monument posing for photographs, all utterly
oblivious to me stood there making an attempt to take photographs!

Anyway, it’s
not all about me is it – I waited patiently like a superb boy and obtained this shot.
I solely had to take away one individual in Photoshop having processed the three photographs
using Lightroom and Aurora HDR.

Digital camera
settings

  • Canon 6D
  • Canon 24-105mm F4 L lens
  • Focal size 84mm

I
photographed a desk final yr. And then my shopper sent me some totally different nook
caps for me to photograph.

I had by no means achieved this earlier than, so had to work this one out all by myself!

I started
off photographing the caps utilizing pure mild and a few paper shaped to make
some type of impartial backdrop.

And the outcomes have been quite frankly rubbish.

So, I
headed over to Amazon, and after a bit of analysis found a product images
tent for the princely sum of £10!

That is my Amazon affiliate link to the product in query.

And take a look at the end result. I didn’t anticipate to realize such nice outcomes so shortly or so cheaply.

The tent came with a strip of LED lights – I by no means use flash so that is all utterly new to me but something I might advocate to anybody eager to study to photograph small issues.
